A l’instar de l’ancienne musique grecque où les mots n’apparaissaient qu’en lien avec la mélodie et le rythme et n’ouvraient qu’ainsi tout un monde, les images de Wonk Kar Wai donnent au texte et à la musique de In A Manner of Speaking une dimension, une profondeur dans laquelle on finit par entendre tous les mots, quoi qu’ils (ne) disent (pas).
